Finlayson´s achieves Chain of Custody (CoC) for wood and forest products
Finlayson’s Cement their Future at Sumner Park
Following on from our CoC of our Yarraman Pine sawmill, Finlayson’s have achieved CoC for our range of mouldings, joinery, structural and decorative timber and laser cut decorative components.
Finlayson’s is continuing its commitment to the responsible management and sustainability of global forest resources by obtaining Chain of Custody certification under the Australian Forestry Standard (AFS) for our sawmills and our range of wood products.
"At Finlayson’s we understand the valuable role we play ensuring the integrity of forest products in the supply chain. Obtaining Chain of Custody enables us a verifiable connection between an end product and a certified source.
"We believe operating a CoC management system is essential, if you are serious about sustainable and responsible timber and building products" Director Michael Finlayson States.
The Sumner Park Trade Distribution Centre continued its development with the concreting of the complete yard this month.
The site now has over 3 acres of full concrete hardstand, most of it covered. Sumner Park can now hold more stock, keep it cleaner, load and unload trucks and customers safely and in a near dust free environment.
Keep an eye out in the next couple of months for more developments as we strive to have the complete product range, services and infrastructure to service all the needs of the Trade Professional.
